Clients gravitate to architects who are in touch with the conditions affecting the built and natural environment, social and cultural ideas, and those significant issues affecting the quality of our lives. Education must be more than professional training; it must educate the individual, and nurture a trajectory for the lifelong evolution of an individual’s talent, mind, and character.
Schools of architecture and allied design require students to have portfolios for all of the rights of passage into the profession. My purpose is to help design students put all the reading, studying, and designing to good use.
These are among the more important reasons I continue to do research and write books. Besides after all these years, it’s very enjoyable!
